50 Years of Aurora West Allis

On Thursday, Sept. 22, Aurora West Allis leaders, caregivers, supporters, and patients — including Kim Dobernig, the first baby born at the hospital — gathered at the Milwaukee County Zoo for “Evening of Promise,” a fundraiser to benefit the patient experience. Read the full story at http://bit.ly/nVQt5g

Aurora West Allis Medical Center will hold its inaugural Evening of Promise event at 6p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Peck Welcome Center at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Evening of Promise will offer a variety of food stations, a silent auction, and a look back over 50 years of helping people live well. Emcee for the evening will be Shari Dunn, news anchor at WDJT Channel 58. Honorary Chairpersons Joe Kempen, President of Motor Castings Co., and his wife, Dianne, are both longtime supporters of Aurora West Allis Medical Center.
Proceeds from Evening of Promise will continue the tradition of patient-centered care through the construction of two new projects – a family consultation room which will provide a private, convenient location for discussions between families and surgeons following medical procedures, and an Emergency Department continuing-care area, offering a more pleasant waiting experience for patients and their families and more efficient patient flow.

Tickets are $50 per guest. RSVP online at http://www.aurora.org/HelpWestAllis or call 414-219-4778 for more information.
